Country Folk is a collection of three short stories.  The first, Sadie, is the tale of a young child who knew the harsh realities of living in the early part of the twentieth century. It is followed with an extended version of The First Frost and concludes with Tinker, Tut and Doo Dobber, a dangerous adventure story of three young  boys and a raging stream.
